Senior IT Buyer

Join our Finance Team and play a key role in shaping our technology sourcing strategy.

We’re looking for an experienced Senior IT Procurement professional to join our Finance Team, leading strategic procurement activity across our technology categories.

This is a high-impact role, working closely with technology, business, risk and senior leadership stakeholders to deliver commercially strong, sustainable outcomes. You’ll bring strong procurement expertise, analytical capability and commercial judgement to support our strategic and transformational objectives.

What you’ll be doing

  • Managing IT procurement activities, bringing expertise, commercial insight and analytical skills to deliver value.
  • Developing sourcing strategies that mitigate risk, maximise value and support our strategic objectives.
  • Leading competitive tendering and supplier evaluation processes.
  • Drafting, negotiating and implementing IT contracts to deliver sustainable commercial outcomes.
  • Supporting strategic and transformational technology initiatives across the organisation.
  • Identifying and implementing process improvements to deliver an efficient, effective service to internal customers.
  • Building strong relationships with stakeholders across Finance, Technology, Risk and the wider business.

What we’re looking for

  • Proven experience delivering IT procurement initiatives at Senior Buyer level or equivalent, managing end-to-end sourcing and commercial activities across technology categories.
  • A strong track record of leading procurement workstreams within complex, high-value or business-critical IT projects, balancing commercial, operational and risk considerations.
  • Demonstrable success in negotiating technology contracts and securing sustainable commercial outcomes.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills, with the ability to build credibility and communicate effectively with business, technology, risk and senior leadership stakeholders.
  • Experience supporting digital transformation or strategic technology programmes is desirable.
  • Experience within Financial Services or another highly regulated environment is desirable, although industry experience is not essential for the right candidate.
