Behind every Aston Martin is a network of talented people, trusted suppliers, and carefully considered commercial decisions that help turn extraordinary ideas into reality.

We’re looking for a Senior Buyer (Indirect) to join our Procurement team at Gaydon. This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of an important area of spend, shape commercially intelligent sourcing strategies, and build supplier partnerships that make a meaningful contribution to the future of one of the world’s most iconic luxury brands.

Procurement at Aston Martin sits at the heart of our business. The decisions we make influence cost, quality, delivery, profitability, and our ability to achieve ambitious business objectives. As a Senior Buyer, you’ll have the opportunity to bring together commercial insight, market intelligence, and strong stakeholder relationships to create lasting value.

  • You’ll develop and deliver commodity or category strategies for your area, keeping Aston Martin informed of market conditions, commercial developments, emerging suppliers, and relevant regulatory changes.
  • Through detailed analysis and close collaboration with stakeholders, you’ll help ensure that sourcing decisions support both the immediate and long-term priorities of the business.

Leading and developing others will be an important part of the role. You’ll manage and support a team of Buyers, providing the guidance, coaching, and direction they need to perform at their best. You’ll create clarity around priorities, encourage continuous improvement, and help build a collaborative environment where people feel trusted, motivated, and able to make an impact.

  • You’ll take the lead on commercial and contractual negotiations with existing and prospective suppliers, securing outcomes that balance commercial value with quality, service, and long-term strategic benefit.
  • By developing robust supplier relationships, monitoring performance, and addressing potential risks early, you’ll help create a resilient supply base that can support Aston Martin’s ambitions.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Your influence will extend across the wider business. Working closely with cross-functional teams, you’ll provide strategic commercial and procurement input that supports effective decision-making and successful programme delivery. You’ll build trusted relationships with internal and external stakeholders, lead regular reviews, and communicate progress clearly against key objectives.

  • You’ll also be responsible for important procurement measures across your indirect procurement area, including cost savings, sourcing activity, supplier strategy, risk management, and supplier performance.
  • Using insight and data, you’ll identify opportunities to improve results, eliminate inefficiencies, and deliver greater value for Aston Martin.

What makes this opportunity particularly special is the breadth of impact you can have. You’ll have the autonomy to shape strategy within your area, the visibility to influence important business decisions, and the opportunity to develop both people and supplier relationships. • Strong communication and interpersonal skills will allow you to build credibility across the organisation, adapt your approach to different audiences, and influence decisions constructively.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a business that combines heritage, innovation, and ambition unlike any other. You’ll work alongside passionate colleagues, influence meaningful commercial decisions, and play a key role in enabling the future of one of the world’s most desirable luxury brands.
