Hitachi Energy has an exciting opportunity to join the Service team as a Senior Buyer (Project Execution). You'll be responsible for the procurement activities to support key projects, ensuring a cost-effective, timely, high-quality supply of goods and services. The Senior Buyer is an integral part of the Supply Chain Management team, working together to meet KPI’s and add real value to the overall success of Project Delivery.
The role requires close collaboration with project teams, suppliers, and internal stakeholders. This role provides the right individual to make a significant contribution to the Business.

How you'll make an impact:
- Lead Procurement activities for the Service Business to align with Project demands.
- Develop and implement procurement strategies which align with the Project timelines and budgets.
- Ensure all Procurement activities are conducted in line with local Procurement Policy.
- Assist in setting up Framework Agreements, negotiation on pricing and terms and conditions to achieve best value for the Project.
- Ensure timely delivery of materials and services to meet project milestones.
- Monitor supplier performance and address issues proactively.
- Maintain accurate procurement records and reporting.
- Work closely with Operations regarding timely execution of Purchase Orders and Contracts.
- Carry out close out of Procurement Activities, collaborate with Project Managers, and provide feedback on Supplier Performance.
- Track procurement activities, ensuring cost efficiency.

Background:
- Degree in Supply Chain, Procurement, Business, or related discipline
- Professional certification (e.g., CIPS)
- Proven experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain roles.
- Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
- Excellent analytical and cost management capabilities.
- Proficiency in procurement or ERP systems, preferably SAP.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Full UK driving licence.
