Senior Buyer
Permanent, Hybrid, Full Time, 38.75 hours, Monday to Friday 8:45am to 5:30pm

As part of our ambitious growth plans, we’re looking for a commercially minded Senior Buyer to play a key role in shaping our supply strategy, strengthening supplier partnerships and delivering sustainable value across our product portfolio. You’ll join a collaborative and forward-thinking Supply Chain team where your expertise will directly influence business performance and help support our long-term strategic objectives.
Your new role:
As Senior Buyer, you’ll lead strategic sourcing, supplier selection, negotiations and commercial initiatives across a diverse portfolio of direct product categories. Working collaboratively across the business and Häfele’s global procurement network, you’ll deliver cost savings, improve supplier performance and drive continuous improvement, while ensuring high standards of ethical sourcing, compliance and corporate social responsibility. You’ll also manage key supplier relationships, support and develop the Procurement Coordinators and deputise for the Procurement Manager when required.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead strategic sourcing, supplier selection and tendering across direct product categories.
- Negotiate commercial agreements that deliver cost savings and long-term value.
- Manage strategic supplier relationships, performance and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with internal teams and Häfele’s global procurement network to support business objectives.
- Ensure suppliers meet ethical sourcing, compliance and corporate social responsibility standards.
- Support and develop the Procurement Coordinator and deputise for the Procurement Manager when required.
What you’ll need to succeed:
- Proven experience leading sourcing or resourcing projects and delivering measurable savings and strategic objectives.
- Strong commercial awareness, with excellent negotiation and influencing skills and a clear focus on adding value.
- Excellent analytical, numerical, planning and problem-solving skills.
- A proactive approach, with the ability to identify opportunities and improve processes and efficiencies.
- Confident communication and relationship-building skills, with experience working across teams, seniority levels and geographies.
- The ability to lead by example and support the development of colleagues.
- Indirect procurement experience and a CIPS qualification would be advantageous but are not essential.

This is a full-time, permanent position. Core hours of work are 8:45am to 5:30pm, Monday to Friday, however, flexibility will be required for this role. The role is being offered with hybrid option meaning you would be site-based Monday and Tuesday and a further third day of your choice, with 2 days from home.
