About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior C# Developer / Engineer to join our client’s dynamic team, based in Reigate with the flexibility of working from home. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on complex, scalable desktop applications within a global fintech organization. As a senior member of the development team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-performance C# .NET desktop applications that are critical to the company’s operations. The role requires a hands-on approach, technical leadership, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative solutions. You will have the chance to work on technically challenging projects, contribute to system architecture, and mentor junior developers, all while enjoying continual learning opportunities in a fast-paced, evolving environment.

Qualifications
- Extensive experience in C# development, particularly with desktop applications using.NET Framework or.NET Core.
- Strong understanding of Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF) and WinForms for building rich desktop user interfaces.
- Proficiency in object-oriented programming principles and design patterns.
- Experience with SQL Server or other relational databases, including writing complex queries and stored procedures.
- Familiarity with version control systems such as Git.
- Knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC), Agile methodologies, and best practices.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills, capable of working collaboratively within a team environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain high-quality C# desktop applications aligned with business requirements.
- Collaborate with product managers, UX/UI designers, and other developers to deliver innovative solutions.
- Implement scalable, efficient, and robust code following best practices and coding standards.
- Participate in code reviews, testing, and debugging to ensure optimal system performance.
- Contribute to system architecture and technical design discussions.
- Mentor junior team members, sharing knowledge and fostering a collaborative team environment.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends, tools, and technologies to continually enhance skills and deliver cutting-edge solutions.
- Support deployment, maintenance, and troubleshooting of desktop applications in production environments.
