Role: Senior C++ Developer

Required Skills: C++ (STL, OOP, Design Patterns, Multithreading), Python, APIs, and Airline Operations Platform

Location: London, UK (2-3 days/week onsite)

Type: Permanent

Role Overview

We are at Coforge looking for an experienced Senior C++ Developer with strong expertise in Airline Operations Platform (AOP) solutions. The candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and supporting mission-critical applications that enable airline operational efficiency, real-time decision-making, and integration with various airline systems.

Job Description

  • Design, develop, enhance, and maintain applications using C++ and Python.
  • Work on Airline Operations Platform (AOP) modules and operational systems.
  • Develop and optimize high-performance backend services and APIs.
  • Integrate airline operational systems with internal and third-party applications.
  • Analyse business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Troubleshoot production issues and ensure system stability.
  • Perform code reviews and enforce development best practices.
  • Collaborate with business analysts, architects, product owners, and operations teams.
  • Support CI/CD, automated testing, and deployment activities.
  • Prepare technical documentation and knowledge transfer materials.

Key Skills Required:

  • Strong proficiency in C++ (STL, OOP, Design Patterns, Multithreading).
  • Strong development experience in Python.
  • Experience with Airline Operations Platform (AOP) solutions.
  • Experience in Linux/Unix environments.
  • Knowledge of REST APIs, Web Services, and system integrations.
  • Experience with SQL databases.
  • Hands-on experience with Git, Jenkins, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Strong debugging, performance tuning, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in the Airline/Travel domain.
  • Understanding of airline operations such as:
    • Flight Operations
    • Crew Management
    • Airport Operations
    • Flight Planning
    • Disruption Management
    • Schedule & Resource Management
  • Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP).
  • Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.

Educational Qualification:

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or equivalent.

Nice to Have:

  • Knowledge of messaging systems and event-driven architecture.
  • Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
