About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior C++ Developer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be instrumental in developing and maintaining sophisticated software solutions tailored to meet the needs of our clients. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, engineers, and clients, to deliver high-quality, performance-driven applications. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in C++ development, a passion for technology, and a desire to work on challenging projects that make a real-world impact. This position offers an exciting opportunity to be at the forefront of technological innovation, contributing to projects that influence national security and advanced systems.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in software development using C++, incorporating modern standards and best practices.
  • In-depth knowledge of Linux environments, including build systems, compilers, kernel modules, and device drivers.
  • Strong understanding of computer networking protocols such as TCP/IP, HTTP, DNS, DHCP, and tunneling protocols like GTP, MPLS, and L2TP.
  • Experience working with third-party and open-source software libraries, such as Boost.
  • Familiarity with additional programming languages and scripting tools including Ruby, Python, Bash, and Puppet.
  • Hands-on experience working within Agile Scrum methodologies and using tools like Jira for project management.
  • Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot system issues remotely, providing effective support.
  • Experience leading small development teams, mentoring junior engineers, and managing project deliverables.
  • Excellent communication skills with experience interfacing directly with clients and stakeholders.
  • Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and optimize high-performance C++ applications aligned with project requirements.
  • Maintain and enhance existing software systems, ensuring reliability, scalability, and security.
  • Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to define technical specifications and translate them into functional code.
  • Implement networking protocols and develop features supporting deep packet inspection and data analysis.
  • Contribute to the development of new capabilities and functionalities to meet evolving client needs.
  • Participate actively in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.
  • Lead and mentor junior developers, fostering a collaborative and innovative team environment.
  • Support troubleshooting efforts, diagnose system issues, and implement effective solutions remotely.
  • Engage with clients to gather requirements, provide technical guidance, and ensure project success.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends to continuously improve development practices.
