About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior C# Developer with active SC clearance to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust software applications using.NET Core and associated web frameworks such as React, Blazor, or Angular. Your expertise will contribute to delivering complex solutions for government and private sector clients, ensuring high standards of quality, security, and performance. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including designers, product managers, and other developers, to understand project requirements and translate them into effective technical solutions. As a senior member of our team, you will also mentor junior developers, participate in code reviews, and help shape best practices within our development processes. This role offers the flexibility of working remotely or from our offices in Godalming or Milton Keynes, with a focus on delivering impactful digital solutions within a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess at least 8 years of proven experience as a C# Developer or in a similar software development role. A strong proficiency in C# and the.NET Framework, including.NET Core, is essential. You should have a solid understanding of object-oriented programming principles and hands-on experience with front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Familiarity with relational databases like SQL Server, MySQL, or PostgreSQL, along with ORM frameworks such as Entity Framework, is required. Candidates must hold an active SC clearance due to the sensitive nature of the work. A relevant degree or equivalent qualification related to software engineering, computer science, or related fields is desirable. Excellent problem-solving skills, strong communication abilities, and the capacity to work both independently and within a team are critical for success in this role. Knowledge of AI-assisted development tools like GitHub Copilot or Claude, and experience with version control systems such as Git, are advantageous.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain C# applications, components, and systems, ensuring they meet functional and security requirements.
- Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code following best practices, coding standards, and security guidelines.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including designers, product managers, and other developers to gather requirements and deliver high-quality solutions.
- Participate in code reviews, providing constructive feedback to peers and ensuring adherence to coding standards.
- Troubleshoot and debug applications to identify issues, optimize performance, and implement effective solutions.
- Stay updated with emerging trends, tools, and technologies in web development and software engineering to continuously improve skills and project outcomes.
- Document technical specifications, system designs, and code to facilitate maintenance and future enhancements.
- Contribute to refining development methodologies, promoting best practices, and improving overall team productivity.
