We are seeking an experienced Senior CAD Designer to join our London-based team in Sutton. Working closely with the Deputy Drawing Office Manager, you will be responsible for developing detailed engineering and fabrication drawings for complex offshore and subsea structures.
The role will involve working primarily with Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD, supporting projects from the design stage through to fabrication and installation, while working closely with engineering and fabrication teams to ensure practical, clash-free solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce detailed design and fabrication drawings for subsea and offshore steel structures using Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD.
- Develop offshore installation sketches, lifting arrangements, and rigging drawings to support project execution.
- Work closely with engineering and other disciplines to incorporate design requirements and ensure drawings are fully coordinated and free from clashes.

- Carry out thorough self-checking and peer/team reviews of drawings and design documentation.
- Ensure all drawings meet appropriate engineering standards and comply with internal drawing office procedures and quality requirements.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
