About the Company
FindCore are thrilled to be assisting an award-winning multidisciplinary engineering consultancy with the recruitment of a Senior CAD Technician. Permanent position. This role will be based at the company’s Sheffield office.
About the Role
The successful candidate will work alongside Civil and Structural Engineers on a varied range of residential, commercial and industrial developments.
Responsibilities
- Produce and update technical drawings using AutoCAD.
- Prepare General Arrangement drawings, structural layouts and construction details.
- Support structural projects involving steel, concrete, timber and reinforced concrete.
- Assist Civil Engineers with external works, site layouts and drainage drawings.
- Work across projects ranging from individual residential properties to larger commercial and industrial developments.
- Coordinate drawings with Engineers, Architects and other members of the project team.
- Maintain accurate drawing information and support projects through agreed deadlines.
- Assist and support more junior Technicians where appropriate.

Qualifications
ONC, HNC, HND or similar Civil/Structural Engineering qualification would be advantageous but is not essential.
Required Skills
- Previous experience working as a CAD Technician, Engineering Technician or in a similar role.
- Good working knowledge of AutoCAD.
- Some experience within civil, structural or construction-related engineering.
- Understanding of technical drawings and construction detailing.
- Experience with steel, concrete, timber or reinforced concrete detailing would be beneficial.
- Exposure to external works or drainage drawings would also be advantageous.
- Good attention to detail and ability to work accurately to deadlines.
- Strong communication skills and willingness to continue developing technically.

Pay range and compensation package
Competitive salary, depending on experience + twice-yearly salary reviews + additional benefits.
