Job Description
This is a senior, hands-on production role for a Bentley Systems specialist with proven expertise in creating CAD models and asset data, together with strong Autodesk Civil 3D and BIM workflow experience. The successful candidate will work with engineers, surveyors, and project teams to transform design information, survey data, and existing-condition data into reliable, client-ready deliverables.
What You Will Do:
- Create and maintain detailed civil engineering drawings (CAD) and 3D models using Bentley Systems base open roads and Open budlings, strong familiar with Civil 3D and AutoCAD.
- Develop coordinated BIM deliverables from design drawings, survey data, as-built documentation, and other project inputs.
- Produce surfaces, alignments, profiles, corridors, grading models, pipe networks, sections, and construction documentation.
- Create existing-condition models from LiDAR scans and registered point clouds, where applicable.
- Translate 2D engineering drawings into coordinated 3D models, working directly with designers to capture design intent.
- Utilities & Existing Conditions: Incorporate survey data, point clouds, and subsurface utility information into models, with an understanding of Subsurface Utility Engineering (SUE) practices and exposure to standards such as PAS128 (UK) or ASCE 38-22 (US).
- Update models and drawings throughout the project lifecycle and maintain clear version control.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
