Senior Calypso Business Analyst
UK Remote
£65,000
Our client, a leading name in Financial Services, is looking for a Senior Calypso Business Analyst to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Calypso specialist to take on a leadership role, managing a team while working across the full product lifecycle from requirements gathering through to go-live.
The Role
- Leading a team of 4+ staff
- Liaising with Operations, Product Management, and Technology teams
- Gathering requirements, both internal and external
- Writing specifications and test plans
- Configuring the Calypso application
- Preparing demos for clients
- Onboarding new products and services from UAT to Production
- Liaising with software vendors
- Training junior members of the team
- Assisting the User Acceptance process with clients and the in-house QA team

What We're Looking For:
- 6+ years' experience as a Calypso Business Analyst within a Financial Services company
- Strong hands-on Calypso knowledge across Back Office (Static Data, Cash & Security Management), Collateral Management, Accounting, Limits, and Risk Management
- Strong business knowledge of Interest Rates (IRD), Fixed Income, FX, FX Options, Equities (EQD), and Exchange Traded Derivatives (Futures & Options)
- Proven business analysis skills, managing requirements from business specification through to go-live
- Exposure to both waterfall and agile software development methodologies
- A track record of applying creative thinking, innovation, and problem-solving to complex issues
- Confidence communicating with IT professionals and end users at all levels of seniority
- The ability to liaise with the business to understand requirements and present clear, concise solutions
- A self-starting approach, driving resolutions and improvements rather than simply maintaining the status quo
- Strong prioritization skills, with the ability to break down complex issues and identify root causes
