Job Summary
The Senior CAMO Engineer is responsible for the continuing airworthiness management of a fleet of VVIP business jets in accordance with applicable aviation regulations and company procedures. The role ensures aircraft remain compliant with regulatory requirements while maintaining the highest standards of safety, reliability, and operational readiness expected in VVIP operations.
The position requires extensive experience in regulatory compliance, aircraft maintenance planning, technical records management, and coordination with customers, maintenance organisations, OEMs, and regulatory authorities.
Key Responsibilities
Continuing Airworthiness Management
- Manage and oversee the continuing airworthiness of assigned aircraft within the fleet.
- Ensure full compliance with applicable regulatory requirements (e.g., Part-CAMO / Part-M or relevant authority regulations).
- Monitor and control aircraft maintenance programmes, ensuring all scheduled and unscheduled maintenance is planned and executed appropriately.
- Review and implement Airworthiness Directives (ADs), Mandatory Service Bulletins (SBs), and other relevant operational safety requirements.
Maintenance Planning & Control
- Develop and manage short-, medium-, and long-term maintenance plans for assigned aircraft.
- Coordinate maintenance inputs with the approved maintenance organisations.
- Monitor aircraft utilisation and forecast maintenance events to optimise aircraft availability.
- Manage defect control and deferred defects in accordance with MEL/CDL limitations.
Technical Records & Compliance
- Ensure accuracy, completeness, and integrity of aircraft technical records.
- Oversee the review of maintenance documentation and certify the correctness of records following maintenance inputs.
- Maintain aircraft status reports including AD/SB compliance, LLP status, modification status, and component tracking.
- Support aircraft import/export documentation and airworthiness reviews.

Certificate of Airworthiness/Airworthiness Reviews - Initial/Renewal
- Prepare aircraft for Certificate of Airworthiness/Airworthiness Reviews- Initial/Renewal and regulatory audits.
- Conduct internal airworthiness reviews where authorised.
- Liaise with regulatory authorities and auditors during inspections and audits.
Vendor & Stakeholder Coordination
- Act as the CAMO interface with maintenance providers, OEM technical support, and third-party vendors.
Fleet Technical Support
- Provide technical support to flight operations and management regarding aircraft status and airworthiness issues.
- Support AOG events and troubleshooting coordination with maintenance providers.
- Participate in reliability monitoring and trend analysis.
Continuous Improvement & Compliance
- Support internal and external audits.
- Contribute to the development and improvement of CAMO procedures and manuals.
- Promote a strong safety culture and adherence to company Safety Management System (SMS).
Qualifications & Experience
Education & Licensing
- Degree or diploma in Aeronautical Engineering, Aircraft Maintenance Engineering, or related discipline preferred.
- Part-66 Aircraft Maintenance Licence (or equivalent) desirable but not mandatory.
- Formal training in Continuing Airworthiness Management or CAMO processes.
- Regulatory training (EASA/CAA).
- Training to at least Gen Fam level on Business Jet Type(s).
Experience
- Minimum 5–8 years’ experience in aircraft maintenance planning, technical services, or CAMO functions.
- At least 3 years supporting business jets or complex aircraft.
- Experience with VVIP aircraft operations highly desirable.
- Proven experience coordinating heavy maintenance checks and major modifications.
- Proven aircraft import/export experience.

Technical Knowledge
- Strong understanding of:
- Continuing Airworthiness regulations (Part-CAMO / Part-M or equivalent).
- Aircraft Maintenance Programmes (AMP).
- AD/SB management.
- Aircraft technical records systems.
- Experience with business jet OEMs (e.g., Gulfstream, Bombardier, Dassault) preferred.
- Familiarity with Veryon/CAMP maintenance tracking software desirable.
Key Skills & Competencies
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- High attention to detail and regulatory compliance.
- Excellent planning and organisational ability.
- Ability to manage multiple aircraft and maintenance events simultaneously.
- Strong communication skills and ability to liaise with regulators, OEMs, and maintenance providers.
- Ability to work under pressure in a high-expectation VVIP environment.
- Ability to deputise for CAMO Management.
Desirable Attributes
- Experience supporting AOG recovery and operational troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with VVIP cabin systems and modifications.
- Experience in aircraft import/export projects.
- Previous experience within a business aviation operator or management company.
Working Conditions
- Office-based with occasional travel to maintenance facilities and aircraft locations.
- Participation in on-call rotation may be required to support AOG situations.
