- Days: 44 hours per week, working weekends on rota
About Castor Lodge
Castor Lodge, located in the village of Castor near Peterborough, offers a warm welcome to its residents. The home is designed specifically for residents living with dementia, featuring themed areas such as a pub, hairdressing salon, nail spa, corner shop, café bistro, and beautiful outdoor spaces for relaxation.

About The Senior Care Assistant Role
Your responsibilities as a Senior Care Assistant will include:

- Aiding residents' emotional well-being and social needs
- Administration and monitoring of medications to residents
- Supporting residents at meal times
- Mentoring and assisting new employees
- Implementing, monitoring, and reviewing care plans to meet residents' specific needs
- Planning, allocating, and supervising the work of the team of care assistants

About You
We want someone proactive, passionate, and ambitious to support us in creating the best person-centred environment for our residents. You’ll be genuinely valued and empowered as an integral part of our team.
Required Experience and Skills:
- Experience as a Senior Care Assistant and leading a team
- Friendly and caring attitude
- Experience administering medication
- Ability to engage well with residents and their families
- NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care or willingness to work towards this
- Great communication skills, both written and verbal
