About The Role

We are looking for an Extra Care Shift Leader to be based in one of our Extra Care Services at Greenacres Court on a part time basis.

This permanent role is for 24.5 hours per week and involves a rota system which will involve working a combination of early (starting at 7:30 am) and late shifts (finishes at 10:15pm). You also will be working every other weekend with some bank holidays for which enhancements are paid.

The Greenacres Court offers a vibrant community atmosphere, bus stop close to Greenacres to access local, shops

What is Extra Care?

Extra Care Housing is for adults, who have some care needs, with an assured tenancy in a self-contained flat in a purpose-built or adapted scheme. Our Extra care housing services have been rated ‘Good’ by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) in June 2022.

We are looking for someone with excellent communication skills, who is approachable and able to interact confidently with colleagues, other professionals, and members of the public, including service users, their families, and carers. The ability to communicate with clarity and empathy is vital.

This post would suit someone who thrives in a busy team, who can think on their feet and who is able to cope with conflicting demands and deadlines and can be proactive in identifying and resolving problems.

Previous comprehensive experience of supervising a team in a care setting is essential, as is a commitment to delivering quality care.
