Love care, know your stuff and ready for a Senior role?
We're looking for experienced Senior Care Assistants to join our lovely team at Danygraig – and we're looking for people who bring the right mix of experience, confidence and genuine warmth to the role.
As a Senior, you'll still be right there alongside the team providing hands-on care, getting to know our residents and making a difference to their everyday lives. But you'll also take on those important extra responsibilities administering medication, supporting care planning, completing electronic care records and helping guide the care team throughout the shift.
So yes, we need someone who knows their meds, care plans and documentation but we're equally interested in how you are with people.
We're looking for someone approachable, dependable and positive. Someone residents feel comfortable around, colleagues can turn to for support and who understands that being a great Senior is about much more than having "Senior" in your job title.
Already a Senior and fancy a change? Brilliant. An experienced carer with the right skills who's ready for that next step? We'd love to hear from you too.
A Little About Danygraig

What You'll Be Doing
As a Senior Care Assistant, you'll combine hands-on care with additional responsibility for helping the shift run smoothly and ensuring residents receive safe, consistent and genuinely person-centred support.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
