Senior Care Assistant Contract

Located in Berwick-upon-Tweed, Hillside Lodge Care Home is a friendly and supportive care home where residents and colleagues are at the heart of everything we do. Our team takes pride in creating a positive environment built on kindness, respect, and teamwork, making it a rewarding place to build a career in care.

Job Details

  • Salary: £14.50 per hour
  • Hours: Full time and part time hours available
  • Shifts:
    • Dayshift: 7:45am – 8:00pm
    • Nightshift: 7:45pm – 8:00am
  • Benefits:
    • Enhanced overtime incentives following completion of contracted hours
    • Meals on shift
    • Paid DBS, pension, onsite parking and uniform provided
    • 5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full time contract)

As a Senior Care Assistant, you will play an important role in leading and supporting your team while ensuring residents receive safe, high quality, and compassionate care.

  • Working closely with colleagues, residents, and families, you will help coordinate care, oversee medication administration, and support the smooth running of each shift.
  • Alongside providing hands on care, you will act as a role model for the team, promoting high standards, and creating a positive environment where residents feel safe, respected, and supported.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Care Assistant looking to take the next step in their career or an established Senior Care Assistant seeking a supportive environment with opportunities to develop and progress.

What Matters Most

  • NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care
  • Previous experience within a care environment
  • Medication administration experience is desirable
  • Confidence supporting colleagues and leading by example
