Bearehill Care Home is a beautiful Georgian mansion in the charming town of Brechin, surrounded by tranquil gardens and scenic wildlife. The home provides high quality Residential, Nursing, Dementia, and Respite care for up to 49 residents. With its sunny conservatory, sensory garden, freshly prepared meals, and warm, homely atmosphere, it is a place where residents are supported to live well and feel truly valued.
Senior Care Assistant Contract
- Pay Rate: £14.50 per hour
- Hours: Contracted to 44 hours per week
- Shift: Dayshift
- Benefits: Paid PVG, pension, uniform provided
- Annual Leave: 5.6 weeks (based on a full-time contract)
Role Overview
As Senior Care Assistant, you will guide and support your team in delivering safe, high-quality, person-centered care that makes a real difference every day to our residents.

- Take responsibility for the smooth running of your shift, ensuring care is well-organized, consistent, and delivered to a high standard.
- Provide hands-on care, oversee medication, monitor residents' wellbeing, and respond to any changes, ensuring care remains safe and appropriate.
- Maintain accurate care records and work closely with colleagues, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure clear communication and continuity of care.
We Are Looking For
- Qualifications: SVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care (minimum), with Level 3 desirable or willingness to work towards.
- Training: Medication administration training with competency is essential.
- Experience: Experience supporting or leading a care team is beneficial.
- Skills: Strong communication and leadership skills.
- Approach: A caring, compassionate, and professional approach.
