Senior Care Partner (Day Shift)
Fairmile Grange – An Allegra Care Home
Location: Christchurch
Hours: 18.5 hours per week (including alternate weekends)
Pay: £15.61 per hour + enhanced bank holiday rates
About The Role
Fairmile Grange is looking for a warm, compassionate, and medication-trained Senior Care Partner to join our dedicated day team.
In this role, you will be a vital part of our care team, working alongside Healthcare Assistants and Registered Nurses to deliver high-quality, personalised care. You will also take a lead role during day shifts, supporting and guiding the care team.
You will provide practical, physical, emotional, and social support to our residents, always treating them with dignity, respect, and kindness, while ensuring their individual needs and preferences are met.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high standards of personal care, including washing, oral care, toileting, and mobility support
- Meet the individual needs of residents, from companionship to complex personal care
- Support residents with nutrition and hydration, including assistance with eating and drinking
- Maintain accurate care records, including fluid balance and dietary charts
- Monitor and report any changes or concerns to nursing staff promptly
- Support skin integrity and pressure care management
- Participate in activities, wellbeing programmes, and social events
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare professionals
- Accompany residents to appointments where required
- Mentor and support new team members during induction and ongoing development

About You
- Previous experience in a senior care role within a nursing home
- Medication trained (essential)
- A caring, empathetic, and positive approach
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Flexible and reliable, with availability for day shifts and alternate weekends
