The Role:
Join Our New Adults' Mental Health Safeguarding Hub as a Senior Case Worker
This is an exciting opportunity to join a brand-new Adults' Mental Health Safeguarding Hub and help shape a developing service from the outset. As a Senior Case Worker, you'll manage safeguarding concerns across Mental Health Social Care teams within Adults' Health and Care, making a real difference to the lives of vulnerable adults.
Working closely with partners including health services and the police, you'll support timely, person-centred safeguarding responses in line with the Care Act 2014 and our commitment to making Safeguarding Personal.
From day one, you'll benefit from comprehensive training, ongoing professional development, and support from an experienced team of qualified and non-qualified practitioners. This is a fantastic opportunity to develop your career while helping to build an innovative countywide safeguarding service.
What you'll be doing:
- Triaging online safeguarding referrals, completing Section 42 enquiries, and identifying when cases need to be escalated to the management team.
- Collaborating with individuals, their families, providers, and other healthcare professionals.
- Attending online safeguarding meetings on behalf of the team.
- Preparing clear and concise reports.
- Meeting performance targets relating to the number of calls and online referrals completed, as well as the quality of responses.
- Undertaking face-to-face visits.

- A good understanding of the Care Act 2014 and the Mental Capacity Act 2005.

Travel Requirements:
You will be required to travel to various locations within Hampshire or other local authority and it is essential that you have a current driver’s licence and access to a reliable vehicle on a regular basis.
