The Senior Buyer - Management Categories will support the Category Lead in the development and delivery of procurement activity across Edrington's Management categories. The role will play an important part in building category knowledge, identifying opportunities and building pipelines, improving supplier performance and supporting the development of procurement processes, governance and ways of working across the business. The role will be responsible for leading sourcing activity, supporting supplier and contract management, and partnering with stakeholders to deliver value and ensure effective supplier relationships across assigned areas of spend.
The primary focus will be Management categories, including Professional Services & Consultancy, Corporate Services & Facilities, Travel & Expenses, and IT & Technology. The role will also be expected to provide support across Marketing categories where business priorities require.
Working closely with stakeholders, suppliers and colleagues across the wider procurement team, the Senior Buyer will contribute to the ongoing development of Edrington's Indirect Procurement capability while delivering commercially sound outcomes that support business objectives.
This is a 12 month fixed term contract.
Make an Impact
- Support the development and delivery of category strategies and sourcing plans, building an understanding of spend, suppliers, contracts, stakeholder requirements and market trends across assigned categories.
- Lead or support sourcing activities end-to-end, including requirements gathering, supplier engagement, market analysis, tendering, evaluation, negotiations, contracting and implementation.
- Partner with stakeholders and suppliers to deliver value, acting as a trusted procurement contact while identifying opportunities for cost savings, service improvements, risk reduction and enhanced supplier performance.
- Ensure effective contract, supplier and procurement governance, supporting supplier reviews, contract renewals, compliance, reporting, sustainability initiatives and continuous improvement activities.

Your Talent and Skills
To be successful in this role, you will have commensurate experience to this level, ideally in procurement, sourcing or commercial experience, ideally within indirect procurement categories, along with experience supporting sourcing activities, supplier selection, and stakeholder engagement to deliver effective business outcomes. You will bring strong commercial awareness, analytical thinking, and excellent relationship-building, communication, and influencing skills. Well organised and detail-oriented, you will be capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a proactive, collaborative, and delivery-focused approach. A degree-level qualification (or equivalent experience) is required, while CIPS accreditation and knowledge of the Scotch whisky industry would be advantageous.
