Quorn Foods: Senior Category Manager
What You'll Be Responsible For
This is an influential opportunity to lead category growth for Quorn, Cauldron and our key retail customers, helping to shape retailer, channel and category strategy while working collaboratively across our Commercial, Brand, Insight and Innovation teams.
Reporting into our Head of Category & Insights, you will be viewed as a trusted category expert. Owning the three-year category strategy for your retailer portfolio and translating this into focused annual growth plans, you will develop compelling, insight-led recommendations, lead strategic engagement with retail partners and align internal stakeholders behind plans that deliver category and commercial growth.
Using consumer, shopper and market insight, you will turn complex information into clear, practical recommendations. You will develop the category and shopper rationale for innovation, create persuasive retailer presentations and influence the innovation pipeline to reflect retailer and category needs.
You will also lead retailer-specific shopper marketing plans across in-store activation, digital media, promotions and secondary displays, ensuring activity is evaluated and future investment is informed by clear learnings.
The position will be based from our Leeds office circa 2-3 days per week along with the opportunity to work flexibly/remotely when required.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
