Salary Range: Competitive (DOE)
Location: Cardiff 2 x a week - travel and accommodation paid

We are working with a market-leading international manufacturer renowned for delivering high-quality sporting products to customers across the globe. Due to continued growth and ambitious commercial plans, our client is looking to appoint an experienced Category Manager who can shape the future of key product categories, influence commercial strategy and identify new opportunities for profitable growth. This is an excellent opportunity to join an established business with an outstanding reputation for innovation, quality and long-term success.

The Category Manager will play a pivotal role in driving category performance by combining market intelligence, customer insight and commercial analysis to maximise sales, profitability and market share. Working closely with Sales, Marketing, Product Development and Supply Chain, you'll influence product direction and help deliver commercially successful product ranges across UK and international markets.

The Category Manager will:

  • Develop and implement category strategies that increase revenue and profitability.
  • Analyse market trends, competitor activity and consumer behaviour to identify growth opportunities.
  • Optimise product ranges, pricing and promotional activity using commercial data and customer insight.
  • Collaborate with Product Development, Marketing and Supply Chain to deliver successful product launches and improve product performance.
  • Present category reviews, forecasts and strategic recommendations to internal stakeholders and retail partners.

The Category Manager will require:

  • Proven experience within Category Management, Product Management or a similar commercial role.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to turn data into commercially successful decisions.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and experience using business reporting tools.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication and presentation abilities.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results.
