Role: Senior Category Manager
Location: Bardon, LE67 1GQ. We operate a hybrid schedule, 2 days in the office per week.
Salary: £45,000 - £55,000 per annum DOE, + up to a 10% discretionary annual bonus, plus extensive benefits.
Contract type: Permanent
Employment type: Full time
Working hours: Monday – Friday 37.5 hours per week. We work on a core hours principle. Our core hours are 09:30 - 16:00; you can work around these to suit you!

Responsibilities
The Senior Category Manager leads the commercial performance and strategic growth of the Fragrance, Gifting, Skincare, Baby and Travel categories. Responsible for driving sales, profitability and customer growth, the role develops category strategies, manages supplier partnerships and identifies market opportunities to enhance the customer experience. Working cross-functionally, they deliver revenue, margin and marketing income targets while supporting Pharmacy2U's ambition to be the UK's leading destination for health, beauty and wellness products.

What you’ll be doing?
- Lead the commercial performance and growth of the Fragrance, Gifting, Skincare, Baby and Travel categories
- Develop and deliver category strategies that drive sales, profitability and customer acquisition
- Manage and develop a direct report, providing leadership, coaching and performance support
- Build and maintain strong supplier partnerships to maximise commercial opportunities and value
- Identify market trends, customer insights and emerging brands to strengthen category ranges
- Deliver revenue, margin and marketing income targets across the category portfolio
- Collaborate with Digital Merchandising, Marketing, CRM, Supply Chain, Clinical and Finance teams to execute trading and promotional plans.
- Support Pharmacy2U's ambition to be the UK's leading destination for health, beauty and wellness products through a customer-first approach

Who are we looking for?
- Significant experience in Category Management, Buying or Commercial Trading, ideally within Retail or E-commerce
- Proven track record of delivering category sales, profit and margin growth through effective trading and category strategies
- Strong commercial acumen with excellent negotiation skills and experience managing supplier relationships
- Experience developing trading plans, promotional activity and commercial initiatives to drive performance
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, customer insights and market trends to inform decision making
- Experience working cross-functionally with Marketing, Digital, Merchandising, Supply Chain and Finance teams
- Proven leadership capability, with experience managing, coaching and developing team members
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence at all levels
- Highly organised with strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Advanced Excel and reporting tool proficiency; experience within Beauty, Fragrance, Skincare, Baby, Travel or FMCG categories desirable but not essential
