Senior Category Manager

At NHS SBS, we're looking for a Senior Category Manager to work within our Health category team, driving strategic procurement activity across a portfolio of frameworks. You'll act as a category expert and driving forward performance of your team.

This is a highly visible role where you'll be working on the strategic direction and delivery of the Health category, working on transformational activity to improve efficiency, consistency and service excellence. Working closely with clients, suppliers and internal stakeholders, you'll build strong relationships and influence procurement outcomes across key markets.

This is a hybrid role with attendance at our NWH office one or two times a month, along with occasional travel for meetings, collaboration and training where required.

What you'll be doing:

  • Developing and implementing strategic category plans across the Health portfolio and framework agreements.
  • Leading the Health category team, providing leadership, coaching and support to develop capability and expertise.
  • Managing the portfolio of frameworks, including operational oversight, performance management and renewals.
  • Delivering strategic sourcing programmes and procurement projects across key markets.
  • Using market intelligence, supplier insight and category expertise to identify opportunities for innovation, value and continuous improvement.
  • Acting as a subject matter expert for Category Management, driving procurement excellence and organisational best practice.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
