Senior Category Manager
Milton Keynes (Hybrid, 3 days onsite, 2 remote)
Up to £55,000 plus bonus
An established, market leading business on the outskirts of Milton Keynes are looking to hire a Category Manager on a permanent basis. This is a key role within the organisation and will report directly into the Director of Product and Purchasing. The salary on offer is up to £55,000 per annum plus a bonus incentive of 10%.

Key Responsibilities
- Deliver sales and margin performance against budget for strategically important product categories.
- Develop category strategies and manage the full product lifecycle from introduction to end of life.
- Negotiate with suppliers to secure competitive terms, improve profit margins, and advance supply chain sustainability.
- Partner with marketing and sales teams to create product messaging, catalogue features, and support high value tenders.
- Maintain accurate product data, specifications, and sustainability certifications across internal databases.
- Track market dynamics, competitor activity, and industry developments to identify new product growth opportunities.

Candidate Requirements
- Sound, proven working knowledge in either a Category Manager or Senior Buying role previously.
- Demonstrated track record of commercial category management and range optimisation.
- Advanced competency using spreadsheet software alongside strong analytical skill.
- Skilled in negotiation, supplier relationship management, and cross functional collaboration.
- Prior experience working within the packaging sector is advantageous.
