Our client is a real 'foodie' business, operating within a fast-paced chilled category. This role will report into a Category Controller within a well-established, friendly team.
Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities
Essential
- Significant category management experience within a FMCG environment, operating at a manager level.
- Experience interpreting market and consumer insight data (EPOS, Dunnhumby, Kantar, Mintel etc.).
- Experience in working with major UK Retailers.
- Commercial acumen and the confidence to turn opportunities into sales.
- Detail-oriented.
- A proven ability to deliver insightful presentations with impact which deliver tangible outcomes.
- Keen to develop knowledge and be an expert, talking articulately about the industry, retailer, shopper & consumer.
- Compelling and engaging communication style that conveys the expertise expected of a senior manager.
- Ability to grow relationships with key stakeholders & influence at all levels.
- ‘Hands on’, can do, flexible approach.
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office especially Excel and PowerPoint.
- People management experience, gained both managing direct and indirect teams. Excellent coach and mentor to others.
- Full UK Driving License.

Skills and Experience Required:
- Strong track record at Category/Senior Category Manager level.
- Experience working in chilled food.
- Experience working directly with top 4 grocery retailers.
- Experience in setting up and integrating category reporting into a business.
- Self-starter and ability to operate as part of a team.
- Ability to influence and advise internal and external senior stakeholders.
