Senior CBT Therapist
We are looking for enthusiastic, BABCP accredited and experienced CBT therapists to join NHS Barnet Talking Therapies Service as a Senior CBT therapist. We are a well-established and highly regarded service with a strong track record for staff retention, development and wellbeing. The service is provided by the North London Foundation Trust. We work closely with our partner Services in Camden, Enfield and Islington.
You will be part of a large team of CBT Therapists, an Assistant Psychologist, PWPs, counsellors, trainees and administrators who are working to increase access to treatment for people with depression, anxiety and other common mental health conditions and making changes in line with national KPIs for Talking Therapies. The post holder will be supported by the Deputy Clinical Lead and Clinical Lead for the service and have peer support from an experienced senior team.
You will be responsible for clinical supervision and line-management of staff, also, to take on a lead role in an area of service development and carry a small clinical caseload.
Applicants are advised that we operate a hybrid working policy which means post holders are expected to come on site to our base (2-3 days a week) and combine this with remote working.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
