Role Description

The Senior Central Government Customer Account Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in the United Kingdom, responsible for managing and growing key relationships with central government clients. This position oversees strategic account planning, ensuring that client needs are accurately understood, documented, and translated into deliverable outcomes across Olive Jar Digital’s Agile teams. The role involves coordinating with delivery managers, business analysts, and technical specialists to align projects with government priorities, track performance, and maintain a continual service improvement approach. The Senior Account Manager will also collaborate with internal leadership to refine account strategies, contribute to bid responses, and support long-term partnership development with government stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in account management or client services, ideally with central government or public sector customers in the UK.
  • Strong background in digital or IT services, with familiarity in areas such as software development, website design, and Agile delivery environments.
  • Ability to manage complex stakeholder relationships, including senior government officials and multidisciplinary internal teams.
  • Demonstrated skills in strategic planning, contract management, and performance monitoring, with a focus on service quality and continuous improvement.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts into clear business language.
  • Experience working within or alongside Agile teams (e.g., Scrum, Kanban) and an understanding of digital delivery lifecycles.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple accounts and projects effectively.
  • Knowledge of UK central government procurement practices, frameworks, and compliance requirements is highly beneficial.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in business, management, IT, or a related field.
