Senior Change Leader / Change Director
We are seeking an experienced Senior Change Leader / Change Director to lead business change across a major ERP transformation within a large-scale retail environment. This is a 12-month contract, Outside IR35, with a strong view to extend for up to 24 months, and will involve international travel to Europe approximately once every 2–3 weeks. The successful candidate will have a strong track record of leading complex business change programmes within retail, ideally within a large-scale, multinational organisation, together with strong SAP S/4HANA experience.
Key Requirements
- Retail Expertise: An excellent understanding of the retail operating model, particularly General Merchandise and Clothing, Buying, Merchandising and Supply Chain would give you a distinct advantage but is not essential.
- End-to-End Process Knowledge: Demonstrated best-practice experience across end-to-end processes, operating models and organisation design, with the ability to translate this into a successful S/4HANA-enabled transformation.
- Change Programme Management: Experience managing change programmes through the full lifecycle, from inception and mobilisation through implementation, go-live and transition into BAU, with a strong focus on identifying business change risks and leading effective mitigation strategies to de-risk the business ahead of go-live.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Excellent stakeholder management, influencing and communication skills, with the gravitas and seniority to engage effectively with ExCo-level Directors and senior business leaders. Confidence in challenging established thinking, managing resistance to change and building strong relationships across complex, international and highly matrixed organisations.
- Change Management Certification: A recognised Change Management certification or formal Change Management training is essential. Suitable certifications/training would include Prosci Change Management / ADKAR, APMG Change Management Foundation or Practitioner, CCMP (Certified Change Management Professional), Change Management Institute accreditation, or another recognised professional Change Management qualification/training programme. Prosci/ADKAR would be highly desirable, but equivalent recognised Change Management certification or training will be considered.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
