About the Role
The Senior Change Management Specialist is leading change management activities across complex GFS transformation initiatives. Working closely with executive sponsors, workstream leads, project managers, business stakeholders, and subject matter experts, the role ensures that colleagues understand, embrace, and adopt change while successfully embedding new ways of working across the organization.
As an embedded partner within assigned transformation workstreams, the Senior Change Management Specialist plays a critical role in driving change readiness, stakeholder engagement, and sustainable adoption. The position also contributes to building a consistent, practical, and scalable change management capability across GFS. Combining strategic thinking with a hands-on approach, the role translates complex transformation programs into clear actions, measurable outcomes, and tangible business benefits, ensuring lasting organizational impact and successful delivery of change objectives.
Some of the things you will be doing
- Develop and execute practical change strategies for high-impact transformation workstreams and projects.
- Partner with workstream owners and project managers to shape approach, and integrate change activity into delivery plans from intake through go-live and reinforcement.
- Translate transformation intent into clear stakeholder actions, readiness milestones and adoption outcomes.
- Identify change risks early and develop clear mitigation plans.
- Conduct stakeholder assessments and develop engagement strategies across functions, countries and leadership groups.
- Coach sponsors and senior leaders on visible, active and effective sponsorship.
- Support leaders with messaging, talking points and engagement approaches that make the change simple, relevant and actionable.
- Build trusted relationships with business leaders, SMEs, project teams and impacted teams.
- Lead change impact assessments across people, process, technology, governance, controls and operating model dimensions.
- Partner with workstream owners to define readiness criteria and monitor organizational preparedness throughout delivery.
- Assess adoption barriers, resistance themes and change saturation across impacted stakeholder groups.
- Provide clear readiness insights to TMO and workstream leadership.
- Develop communication and engagement plans that make complex initiatives easy to understand.
- Partner with Internal Communications, P&C Business Partners, SMEs and business leaders to co-create practical change materials.
- Partner with workstream owners to define training, capability-building and reinforcement needs.
- Ensure impacted teams are equipped to operate successfully in the future state.
- Partner with workstream owners to define adoption measures and success indicators aligned to business outcomes.
- Monitor adoption after implementation and identify where reinforcement is needed.
- Partner with delivery teams to ensure intended benefits are realized, not just planned.
- Capture lessons learned and continuously improve the change approach.
- Contribute to a consistent GFS change methodology, toolkit, templates and reporting approach.
- Support change governance, intake and tiering of projects based on change impact.
- Mentor change managers and change champions as the function scales.
- Promote a pragmatic, business-focused change discipline across the transformation portfolio.

What technical skills, experience, and qualifications do you need?
- 7-10+ years of change management, transformation, organizational development, communications or related experience.
- Experience supporting enterprise-wide, multi-workstream, or global transformation initiatives.
- Demonstrated success leading change for operating model, process, technology, role or organizational change.
- Strong experience working directly with senior leaders and executive sponsors.
- Ability to turn ambiguity into practical plans, actionable messaging and measurable readiness outcomes.
- Experience working within a TMO, PMO, transformation office or enterprise change function.
- Prosci, ADKAR change management certification.
- Experience building change methods, templates, dashboards or adoption reporting practices.
