Your new role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Change Manager to join the organisation on an initial 6-month contract, supporting the definition, design and delivery of ambitious transformation programmes.

This is a key leadership role responsible for driving business change activity, ensuring successful adoption of change initiatives and enabling the delivery of programme benefits and strategic outcomes. Working closely with senior stakeholders, programme managers and project managers, you will champion best-practice change management approaches, build strong internal and external networks, and assess the impact of change on stakeholders to maximise engagement and adoption.

Contract Details

  • 6-month initial contract
  • £558 per day via Umbrella Company
  • Monday to Friday
  • Hybrid working model with 2 days per week in the office and 3 days working from home

Responsibility

  • Use stakeholder and people insights to shape change decisions and plans.
  • Lead the design and delivery of inclusive, measurable and value-adding change activities.
  • Identify and mitigate people-related risks associated with business transformation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead all change management elements associated with business cases and programme delivery.
  • Develop and own all required business change management products and documentation.
  • Engage and influence senior stakeholders across the organisation and wider portfolio.
  • Establish and maintain change plans, ensuring alignment with overall project plans.
  • Lead business readiness assessments and support go-live decisions alongside project teams and business stakeholders.
  • Partner with Benefits Managers and stakeholders to embed benefits realisation throughout the change lifecycle.
  • Identify, analyse and manage stakeholder groups, maintaining effective engagement plans.
  • Act as a primary point of contact for senior stakeholders on change-related matters.
  • Lead communication planning and content development, working with communications specialists where required.
  • Provide leadership, coaching and guidance to colleagues while supporting the development of change capability across the organisation.
  • Lead and coordinate business change activities across complex projects and programmes.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Experience in applying change management and implementing best practice in a complex environment as part of a transformation programme or project.
  • Experience in applying project and change management to effectively manage change activity, risk, issues, impacts and achievement of benefits realisation in line with strategic objectives and within delivery governance.
  • Stakeholder engagement across internal and external networks
  • Defining, designing, planning, scheduling, and managing the implementation of change initiatives to ensure efficient delivery and alignment with other initiatives.

Continuous improvement

The candidate may hold some of the following qualifications and / or have membership to:

  • APMG Change Management Practitioner / Prosci / Change Management in Defence (CMiD)
  • Managing Successful Programmes Practitioner
  • APM Practitioner Qualification
  • APM Registered Project Professional
  • Continuous Improvement / Lean Six Sigma Practitioner

What you'll get in return
