Senior Chef – Full Time
Garbutts is looking for an experienced Senior Chef to join our established kitchen team and work closely alongside our Head Chef. We’re a fast-paced, food-led independent venue with over 20 years of reputation behind us, and we’re searching for someone who can complement that standard every day.
What We’re Looking For
- Strong experience in a busy, fast-paced kitchen
- A chef who is passionate, reliable, and committed to consistent quality
- Someone who works well within a close-knit team
- A positive attitude and pride in maintaining our long-standing reputation
Key Responsibilities
- Learning and mastering our established menu, ensuring consistency and quality
- Bringing new ideas and contributing creatively to menu development
- Running breakfast shifts independently for the first two hours of service, maintaining speed, organisation, and high standards
- Maintaining Level 2 (minimum) Food Hygiene standards
- Managing stock, including ordering, rotation, and minimising waste
- Ensuring full compliance with Environmental Health standards, including cleanliness, safe food handling, and accurate record-keeping
- Supporting the Head Chef with daily operations and smooth service

Pay
- Starting at £13.25 per hour
- Higher rate available and open to discussion for the right candidate
