Role Description
The Senior Chef de Partie is a full-time, on-site role based in Harrogate, supporting the kitchen leadership team in delivering high-quality dishes for pub guests and staying visitors. Day-to-day responsibilities include:

- Preparing and cooking menu items to specification
- Maintaining consistent presentation
- Supporting smooth service across all sections of the kitchen
- Coordinating mise en place
- Assisting with stock rotation
- Contributing to daily specials
- Ensuring all food safety and hygiene standards are followed

The role involves helping train junior kitchen team members, collaborating on menu development, and working closely with front-of-house colleagues to provide a positive dining experience.
Qualifications
- Strong experience in professional kitchens, including demonstrated ability to run a section independently and support busy service.
- Solid knowledge of classic and modern cooking techniques, food preparation, and menu execution in a pub or restaurant setting.
- Understanding of food safety, HACCP principles, and kitchen hygiene, with a commitment to maintaining clean and organized work areas.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure, prioritize tasks, and maintain attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
- Collaborative mindset with good communication skills and the ability to guide and support junior kitchen staff.
- Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, in line with business needs.
- Relevant culinary training or professional cookery qualifications are highly beneficial.
- Previous experience in pub or hotel dining environments, particularly in high-volume or destination venues, is an advantage.
