Community Children’s Nursing Team Opportunity
An exciting opportunity to gain experience in the Community Children’s Nursing Team that provides high quality evidence-based practice in the community, to children who have a clinical nursing need.
The team provides a 7-day service, 08.00-18.00 weekdays and 09.00-17.00 at weekends/bank holidays.
The successful candidate will need to be a good team player, hold a full driving licence and their own vehicle, and be prepared to travel throughout the West Suffolk area.
The post would be fixed term for 1 year covering maternity leave based in the Bury office.

Services Provided
We provide skilled nursing care to those who have a clinical nursing need. For example:
- gastrostomy care
- naso-gastric tube feeding
- wound care
- intravenous therapy
- blood sampling
- tracheostomy care
- home oxygen
- care of central lines
- general support, advice and education

The West Suffolk Hospital in Bury St Edmunds provides acute and secondary care services (emergency department, maternity and neonatal services, day surgery unit, eye treatment centre, Macmillan unit and children's ward). It has 500+ beds and is a partner teaching hospital of the University of Cambridge.
Adult and paediatric community services, provided in collaboration with West Suffolk Alliance partners, include a range of nursing, therapy, specialist, and ongoing temporary care and rehabilitation, some at our Newmarket Community Hospital.
