What will I be doing as a Senior Support Worker/Team Leader?

Madiba is a community of loving people, dedicated to supporting and caring for young individuals aged between 7-18 years old. Our dedicated team are here to help young people through their challenges and provide them with the tools and guidance they need every single day.

  • Developing positive relationships with the young people in our care, their families and external agencies
  • Leading shifts within the home and supervising staff
  • Contributing to the young persons care plans and any risk assessments, supporting with implementation and reviews
  • Supporting young people with daily activities, educational needs and emotional wellbeing
  • Ensuring that good quality records are maintained as required

What we are looking for?

  • Completed NVQ/ Level 3 or 4 Diploma in Residential Childcare is essential!
  • Experience in working within a children's residential setting
  • People who have the ability to interact with young people and manage challenging behaviours calmly
  • A full UK driving licence
  • You must also be over 21 years of age to meet industry regulations
  • Flexibility to work shifts including weekends, evenings and sleep-in duties on a rota basis - our shifts are 7:30am 11:00pm and sleep-ins 11:30pm 7:30am 2 days on and 4 days off rolling rota (paid at £50 per sleep)
