Senior Designer

We are working closely with a leading international fashion supplier who is looking to recruit a talented and commercially minded Senior Designer to join their growing design team in Manchester.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Designer with a strong understanding of product, fabric and emerging trends, who can confidently work across both girls' and boys' apparel.

Our client is particularly interested in designers with a versatile design handwriting, strong product development knowledge and the ability to research, interpret and adapt trends to suit different customers and markets.

Whilst childrenswear experience would be advantageous, we are equally open to candidates from womenswear or menswear backgrounds who can demonstrate strong commercial awareness, fabric knowledge and the flexibility to design across multiple product categories.

Working across woven, jersey and leisurewear, you will play a key role in developing trend-led collections for an international customer base. This role offers hybrid working.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
