The Vacancy
Locations: Peterborough and Swansea
Binnies UK, part of the RSK Group, is looking for Lead Civil Engineers working within our Delivery group on Non-Infra UK Water Engineering projects.

Functioning as a technical specialist and/or in a lead role, you will be developing and applying advanced engineering techniques, concepts, and approaches.
At Binnies, we offer flexible/hybrid/part-time and remote working patterns with flexible UK base locations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide guidance and direction on department design guides, standards, systems, and applicable engineering codes and standards.
- Preparing calculations and developing civil engineering deliverables (models, drawings, and reports) whilst adhering to project budgets, schedules, and quality systems.
- Providing guidance to others and supporting continuous improvement.
- Coordinate with internal and external team members on complex projects.
- Prepare a variety of complex civil engineering deliverables for large or multiple projects.
- Develop recommendations for materials and construction techniques.
- Develop specifications for the identification, collection, and management of data for engineering work.
- Serve as a technical specialist and use knowledge and skill set to provide advice and guidance to project teams.
- Mentor and develop junior staff.
- Be fully conversant with and comply with all aspects of health & safety duties of Designers.
Person Specification:
- Civil Engineering Design and/or Hydraulics/Structural background.
- Experience in design and build.
- Knowledge & Experience in the design and checking of non-infrastructure water/wastewater treatment works design.
- Ability to lead and manage a team of civil engineers and associated specialists (structural, geotechnical, and hydraulics) and to interface with other disciplines in the production of engineering deliverables.
