Senior Civil Engineer – Property Division
What You’ll Be Doing
You’ll play a key role in our Property Division, delivering a wide variety of consultancy services to a diverse client base across the UK. From inception through to commissioning, our team provides engineering expertise across multiple sectors – and you’ll be at the heart of it.
In This Role, You’ll
- Take ownership of challenging projects, leading the preliminary and detailed design of levels, drainage and external works in both public (adoptable) and private realms.
- Supervise and manage the delivery of multiple projects, occasionally leading small teams with delegated authority from the Team Leader or Principal Engineer.
- Build and maintain excellent relationships with existing clients while showcasing our capabilities to new ones.
- Mentor and support Graduates and Engineers, while continuing your own professional growth.
- Lead by example – demonstrating professionalism, diligence and a passion for knowledge-sharing across the team.

What you’ll bring
We’re Looking For Someone With Strong Technical Independence And The Ability To Thrive In a Multi-disciplinary Environment. You’ll Bring
- Proven experience in Civil Engineering design – particularly in levels, drainage and external works.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD, Civil 3D (or PDS with a willingness to train on Civil 3D), MicroDrainage and Microsoft Office.
- Experience of managing complex projects through planning to completion, liaising with planning authorities, statutory undertakers and national bodies like the Environment Agency.
- A collaborative mindset, with an understanding of other disciplines and a desire to develop project coordination skills.
- Commercial awareness, with developing influencing and negotiating skills, plus the ability to nurture new and existing client relationships.
- Strong communication skills – written and verbal – with the adaptability to engage different audiences.
- The ability to delegate effectively, mentor others and foster a supportive, high-performing team culture.
