Senior Civil Engineer | Caterham | Drainage Design & Infrastructure

Clear Route to Principal Level
An established engineering consultancy is looking for a Senior Civil Engineer to join its growing infrastructure team in Caterham. This is an excellent opportunity to work on a diverse portfolio of commercial, residential, healthcare, education and mixed-use developments across the South East.
Key Responsibilities
- Design below-ground foul and surface water drainage systems for a variety of developments
- Produce drainage layouts, detailed drawings and technical specifications
- Prepare drainage strategy reports to support planning applications
- Utilise InfoDrainage and other industry-standard software for drainage modelling
- Liaise with water authorities on pre-development enquiries and S106 agreements
- Attend project and client meetings, providing technical expertise throughout project delivery
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary design teams and external stakeholders
- Conduct site visits and monitor works during construction phases
- Ensure designs comply with current legislation, industry standards and best practice
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet programme deadlines

Requirements
- Experience designing single-building and multi-building drainage systems
- Strong knowledge of surface water management and foul drainage design
- Proficient with InfoDrainage or equivalent drainage modelling software
- Understanding of planning requirements, drainage strategies and utility approvals
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative engineering team
