Senior Engineer

As a Senior Engineer, you will play a crucial role in our Engineering team, reporting to the Head of Construction Engineering. Your expertise will be instrumental in providing technical guidance primarily with temporary works and buildability as well as undertaking critical design reviews, value engineering and governance for permanent works during bidding and preconstruction stages. You will also be promoting safety and sustainability, and driving buildability across our projects. With a focus on quality and compliance, you'll ensure our designs meet the highest standards and client expectations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide technical advice and support across projects and regional offices.
  • Promote design safety, sustainability and buildability.
  • Review bids, designs and engineering solutions for compliance, quality and value.
  • Identify and manage technical risks and opportunities.
  • Support allocation of competent design resources and external consultants.
  • Develop technical standards, lessons learned, guidance documents and communities of practice.
  • Undertake site inspections, surveys, audits and technical reviews.
  • Support temporary works engineering and construction methodologies.
  • Mentor and develop engineers and graduate staff.
  • Support business development, client presentations and industry engagement.
  • Lead and undertake technical reviews of design-stage deliverables during bid, PCSA and conversion phases.
  • Support project teams in developing robust design briefs, design management strategies and design responsibility matrices.

Credential

  • Construction or Engineering related degree
  • Chartered Member of ICE or IStructE
