Senior Civil / Infrastructure Engineer

Location: Flexible / Hybrid Working

Salary: Competitive + Excellent Benefits

Are you an experienced Civil / Infrastructure Engineer looking to take the next step in your career with a growing engineering consultancy?

I'm currently working with a well-established multidisciplinary consultancy that is expanding its Civil and Infrastructure team. The business has built a strong reputation for delivering high-quality development infrastructure projects across both the public and private sectors, and they are now looking to appoint a Senior Civil / Infrastructure Engineer to support continued growth.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an engineer who enjoys taking ownership of projects, mentoring junior staff and working closely with clients to deliver practical and sustainable infrastructure solutions.

The Role

As a Senior Civil / Infrastructure Engineer, you will be involved in the design and delivery of a wide range of infrastructure projects from initial concept through to detailed design and construction support.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Producing highway, drainage and infrastructure designs to current industry standards.
  • Preparing 2D and 3D highway alignments and infrastructure layouts using Civil 3D and AutoCAD.
  • Developing drainage strategies and SuDS designs.
  • Managing and commissioning surveys, technical studies and reports.
  • Leading smaller projects, ensuring delivery to programme and budget.
  • Providing technical guidance and mentoring to Graduates, Engineers and Technicians.
  • Liaising with clients, local authorities and other project stakeholders.
  • Supporting the wider team in identifying follow-on work and new project opportunities.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
