Sompo has a unique opportunity for a Senior Claims Adjuster in our Claims team.
Our Claims team is dedicated to delivering exceptional service to our clients while ensuring compliance with policy terms and conditions. We leverage analytics and insights to drive continuous improvement in the use of Third-Party Administrators (TPAs) and third-party experts. Our business, your impact, our opportunity:
What you’ll be doing:
- Evaluate and process claims estimates and paid claims values accurately and in a timely manner, ensuring compliance with policy terms and conditions.
- Investigate and resolve complex claims of a specialist nature, providing excellent service with minimal leakage.
- Manage estimates and billings calculated by clients and brokers, resolving discrepancies promptly.
- Identify and address coverage issues to ensure company liability aligns with contractual commitments.
- Proactively pursue subrogation, contribution, and other recovery opportunities where appropriate.
- Support the implementation of the Claims strategy and operational plans to meet business targets and priorities.
- Produce regular statistical and analytical claims information for effective monitoring and decision-making.
- Act as a referral point for other team members, providing guidance and support on specific tasks or complex claims.

What you’ll bring:
- Extensive knowledge of technical claims handling in a group claims function within a regulated environment.
- Strong understanding of delegated and third-party claims management from technical, commercial, and operational perspectives.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build constructive relationships across teams and stakeholders.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and the ability to produce detailed reports and management information.
- Strong problem-solving, investigative, and negotiation skills, with a customer-oriented approach.
- Proven track record in managing complex and disputed claims matters, providing expert guidance and opinion.
- Recognized qualifications and/or practical knowledge of the insurance regulatory framework.
