Job Title: Senior Claims Adjuster – Energy

Reporting to: Energy Claims Manager

Location: London

Position Type: Permanent, 35 hours per week

Job Purpose

Supporting in the day to day operation and control of the Claims function, to ensure that claims are processed and settled in a timely and equitable manner, whilst actively striving to develop and improve service and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Produce feedback to Underwriters and Management with regards to the structure of their claim issues and related risk information with the goal to improve the overall standard of underwriting in the company.
  • Demonstrate that Lloyds minimum standards are being met at all times and be in a position to assist Underwriters and Claims Adjusters to progress.
  • Ensure all claims allocated are controlled within company philosophies and SLA’s.
  • Be present at market meetings and conference calls when necessary.
  • Ensure customers are treated fairly at all times.
  • Ensure all complaint related issues and all such incidents are logged and concluded in accordance with company policy.
  • Practice and promote at all times TMHCC core values, to both internal and external contacts alike.
  • Undertake any other ad hoc activities/project work required.

Essential Skills and Experience Specification:

  • Minimum 3 years claims adjusting experience including experience of managing Complex Energy claims in the London Market.
  • Excellent knowledge of ECF, for both Lloyds and predominantly LIRMA markets.
  • Very good technical coverage knowledge.
  • Strong working knowledge of service providers such as loss adjusters and associated experts.
  • Excellent Interpersonal skills are required as the duties of this role involves liaising with outsourcing partners, negotiation and liaising with brokers, loss adjusters and lawyers.
  • Exceptional time and organizational management skills are essential in order to adapt quickly into the role.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills are essential.
  • IT literate to include Microsoft (Word, Excel, Outlook).
