A leading specialist insurance business is looking to appoint a Senior Claims Adjuster specialising in Fine Art & Specie to join its established Marine Claims team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced claims professional to take ownership of a portfolio of complex and high-value Fine Art & Specie claims, working closely with Underwriters, brokers, insureds and key market stakeholders.

The Role

The role sits within the wider Marine Claims team, which handles a broad portfolio across Marine Cargo, Specie, Hull & War. The focus of this position, however, will be firmly on Fine Art & Specie.

You will take the lead on a significant proportion of the claims you handle, with responsibility for developing claims strategy, managing complex coverage issues and delivering a high-quality service to brokers and clients.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Leading and managing complex and high-value Fine Art & Specie claims, taking ownership of strategy from notification through to resolution.
  • Managing predominantly lead claims, representing the business in discussions with brokers, insureds, lawyers and other market stakeholders.
  • Assessing coverage, liability and quantum, and negotiating complex claims effectively.
  • Building strong relationships with key brokers, clients, Underwriters and external service providers.
  • Working closely with Fine Art & Specie Underwriters, providing meaningful claims feedback and insight into loss trends, claims experience and portfolio performance.
  • Supporting Underwriters with policy wording and coverage considerations, including identifying opportunities to improve wordings and mitigate future claims issues.
  • Analysing claims data and identifying trends across the portfolio to support underwriting strategy and business performance.
  • Producing clear, accurate and commercially focused claims reports and narratives.
  • Attending broker, client and underwriting meetings and representing the claims function within the wider market.
  • Working collaboratively with Actuarial, Reinsurance and other internal teams on significant claims and portfolio developments.
  • Supporting the development of junior claims colleagues through knowledge sharing, coaching and technical guidance.
  • Contributing to wider claims projects and initiatives designed to improve processes, customer experience and technical capability.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
