Senior Claims Handler
We're looking for an experienced Senior Claims Handler to join our Claims team. This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong claims professional who enjoys managing complex claims, supporting clients, and mentoring colleagues.
What will you do as a Senior Claims Handler?
You'll be responsible for delivering a proactive, efficient, and high-quality claims service, ensuring clients receive expert support throughout the claims process.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Managing a portfolio of claims across a range of insurance classes.
- Acting as a technical referral point for colleagues.
- Producing and analysing claims reports and management information.
- Supporting clients with complex and large-loss claims.
- Working closely with Account Executives and New Business teams to provide claims insights and support client retention and growth.
- Ensuring claims are handled in line with company procedures, delegated authority agreements, and FCA requirements.
- Coaching and supporting less experienced team members.
What are we looking for in our next Senior Claims Handler?
- Strong general insurance claims experience, ideally within a broking environment.
- Cert CII and/or Cert CILA qualifications is desirable.
- Excellent technical knowledge and the ability to interpret policy wordings.
- Experience analysing claims data and identifying trends.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- Excellent organisation, problem-solving, and attention to detail.
- The ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.
- Experience mentoring or coaching colleagues.
- Specialist knowledge in one or more areas of general insurance claims.
