Associate Director – Sports & Entertainment Claims
Milton Keynes | Hybrid working | £55,000–£60,000
We are working confidentially with a leading insurance business that is looking to appoint an experienced claims leader to its specialist Sports & Entertainment division.
This is a newly created position offering the opportunity to lead and develop a growing team while remaining involved in complex, client-facing claims.
The Role
- Lead, support and develop a team of Claims Executives and FNOL professionals.
- Manage a personal portfolio of claims, primarily involving Public Liability and Personal Accident.
- Remain hands-on with claims handling, accounting for approximately 25% of the position.
- Work closely with clients, insurers, loss adjusters, and other key stakeholders.
- Confidently challenge insurers where appropriate and advocate for the best possible client outcomes.
- Attend client visits and insurer meetings when required.
- Support renewal discussions and potential new business opportunities alongside Account Executives.
- Collaborate with senior leaders and colleagues across regional offices.

What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience managing and developing a claims team.
- Ideally five or more years’ leadership experience.
- Strong commercial claims knowledge, with experience in Public Liability and/or Personal Accident particularly valuable.
- Sports & Entertainment claims experience would be highly desirable, although it is not essential.
- Confident dealing directly with clients, insurers, and loss adjusters.
- A credible and commercially minded leader who is comfortable balancing people management with technical claims work.
- Additional exposure to contingency or property claims would be beneficial.

Location and Package
- Based in Milton Keynes.
- Hybrid working with three days in the office and two days from home.
- Salary of approximately £55,000–£60,000, depending on experience.
