About the Role
An established insurer in the London market is seeking a Senior Claims Specialist to join its Claims team, focused on Credit & Political Risk business. Reporting to the Claims Manager, you'll handle claims across your assigned lines from notification to settlement, ensuring prompt, fair outcomes with tight control over reserving, costs, and lifecycle times. As the team's technical referral point, you'll act as subject matter expert, manage key vendor relationships, and support broker engagement and business planning. You'll also mentor junior colleagues, contribute to process improvement, and help ensure practices stay aligned with FCA/PRA requirements, alongside regular claims reporting and analysis.

Key Responsibilities
- Handle claims across assigned lines from notification to settlement
- Ensure prompt, fair outcomes with tight control over reserving, costs, and lifecycle times
- Act as subject matter expert and manage key vendor relationships
- Support broker engagement and business planning
- Mentor junior colleagues
- Contribute to process improvement
- Ensure practices stay aligned with FCA/PRA requirements
- Provide regular claims reporting and analysis
Requirements
- Strong CPRI claims experience, either within an insurance company, loss adjusters, or solicitors
- Experience within structured credit is key
- Sharp analytical and influencing skills
- Sound judgement under pressure
- A Degree/ACII/legal qualification/similar is desirable
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office
