As a key member of our Client Development team, you'll work closely with divisional leaders to drive sustainable growth, strengthen client relationships and identify new commercial opportunities for Carter Jonas.

The role will work with allocated divisions and fee earners to strengthen client relationships, increase opportunities, improve sales discipline and increase cross-divisional collaboration

You'll act as a trusted adviser to senior stakeholders, providing insight into market trends, client needs and business performance, while helping shape strategies that deliver long-term revenue and profit growth.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Partnering with divisional leadership teams to identify growth opportunities, priority markets and strategic clients.
  • Leading the development and execution of account plans for key clients, increasing client retention, cross-service collaboration and revenue growth.
  • Using client feedback and market intelligence to identify opportunities, improve service delivery and strengthen client relationships.
  • Working alongside Marketing and fee earners to develop and deliver targeted business development and go-to-market initiatives aligned to our V2030 strategy.
  • Identifying, qualifying and progressing new business opportunities, ensuring effort is focused on areas with the greatest potential for success.
  • Championing best practice in client development and embedding a consistent sales process across the business.
  • Overseeing pipeline management, CRM data quality and sales forecasting to support informed commercial decision-making.
  • Driving cross-office and cross-divisional referrals, helping teams collaborate to maximise client opportunities.
  • Leading strategic projects and developing valuable partnerships that support business growth and enhance our market position.

This is an influential role for a commercially minded relationship-builder who enjoys working with senior stakeholders, translating insight into action, and helping teams win and grow exceptional client relationships.

What we’re looking for:

We're seeking a commercially focused client development professional with experience building strong client relationships, driving business growth and influencing senior stakeholders.

You'll bring:

  • Proven experience in business development, client development or key account management within a professional services environment.
  • Strong commercial awareness and the ability to identify and convert growth opportunities.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to engage and influence senior leaders and clients.
  • Experience managing sales pipelines, developing strategic client relationships and delivering measurable business outcomes.
  • A collaborative, proactive approach and a passion for helping teams win and grow client relationships.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, exercise sound judgement and maintain momentum in a fast-paced environment.
  • Degree-level education or equivalent relevant commercial experience.
