Senior Client Manager

“Who are you looking for?”

We need an experienced and passionate Senior Client Manager to join our UK Client Services team. We want to surround ourselves with as many interesting, idea generating, thought provoking people as possible. It makes us more curious, more interesting and more impactful.

“Bit awkward, but who are FPP?”

We do Shopper Marketing. Not just the pretty bits of cardboard you see in supermarkets or the flashy messages on grocery e-commerce, but also the corporate and category conversations that go on behind the scenes that make it easy for shoppers to buy our clients’ brands. We focus on shoppers - and adapt or invent solutions to help get brands into their hands, via retailer partnerships: from pints of milk to tubs of ice cream, kiwi-fruits to baby wipes, and your favourite tipple to your old toothbrush. Always making the fantastic, simple. The gang’s HQ is in Newcastle but this role is based in our Leeds office (remote/hybrid/office based are the current options). However, operating as one team we often take trips up north and vice-versa. We also have a presence internationally and win global pieces of work for global clients (how you can expect to think).

“So… what would I be doing?”

Our Senior Client Manager will work as part of the Client Services team, working with some large FMCG clients; you will act as the key interface between our client, the business and agency.

We’re looking for someone who can get stuck in straight from day one. You’ll already have experience working in a fast-paced agency environment running the day-to-day creative output and delivering best in class client service. We need someone who can manage and develop existing client relationships and approach all challenges with ambition. You’ll be developing retail and shopper projects and always adding a bit extra to your accounts. We need thinkers and doers who approach client challenges with a smile and a plan and be able to manage this through the agency as a process expert. Working in a solid client services team you’ll be able to keep it all running smoothly supporting both the junior and senior members of your team and working with our other planning, creative and production departments. You will report into the Client Director and have management responsibilities for other team members on the account. You’ll be well versed in running the financials of your accounts and be able to operate within budget, to target and with an eye on adding value at every step.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

“What would I already have?”

We want someone with impact who can organise and build strong client relationships, you’ll have a lot of responsibility but we’re all in it together to make fantastic work. At FPP it’s also about finding the right person and finding someone who can live our values.

  • Be Nosey: You will be constantly questioning and genuinely interested in both our client and how the agency can deliver against their brief. You will want to know all about the Client’s business and the challenges they face. You will also want to understand our agency and how we can best deliver a response to the client’s challenges.
  • Demonstrate sweetness not weakness: You will be a genuinely nice person but you won’t let that get in the way of being honest and telling both the agency and the Client what they need to hear to ensure we succeed.
  • Make Fantastic Simple: You will work with the team to find the best way to complete client briefs, working alongside the wider agency team to ensure all client briefs are answered.
  • Eyes Wide Shop: You care about our clients and also what shoppers do and why they do what they do.

“I’m keen, but might not ‘fit’.”

Knowing the language, processes, and functions of an agency is helpful, but enthusiasm and willingness to learn is even more important. We also value our culture and the way it’s shaped by our people, so we’re not just looking for someone who looks/thinks like us. But if you can bring energy to our places, help the work work, then we’ll get along swell. If you fit the bill, send the evidence* that’ll help us choose you via LinkedIn, or to careers@fpp.net (*Something like: a traditional CV, a presentation, your website….)

“What’s the process?”

The recruitment process is likely to take the following, approximate shape:

  1. US - get to grips with the evidence submitted + whittle down a short-list. (Even though we want to, we can’t talk to everybody).
  2. YOU - invite you for a chat about you/us + some kind of task. (Nothing labour intensive, but we want to see you in action).
  3. BOTH - whittle down to a shorter short-list + another chat. (To introduce you to a few other people in the agency.) *Any tasks or questions will be shared in advance. Interviews are hard enough, and we want to see the best you.

“I’ve got questions.”

Feel free to fire any questions about the role my way too!
